TEDxDonauinsel goes Vilnius! With the Donauinsel crew we had the luck to take part in an intense intellectual experience, and an extraordinary human one: “Hide and Seek”, TEDxVilnius 2016, April 2nd, Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. TEDXVilnius is well-known in the TEDx community for its high quality and for being passionately curated by an energetic team. This proved all the way to be true. (Let apart the beauty of being in Vilnius: a tiny, lively, lovely city, especially the Old Town with its historical Baroque centre).

And it was mind-blowing. Brilliantly structured around the concept of “Hide and seek”, the four sessions of the conference addressed crucial questions. What do we hide? Which games do we play? What’s the future world we seek for? The answers came through talks that ranged from climate change to psychology, from asteroid defense to digital privacy, from VR to how to save bees. But the kind of answers that TEDxVilnius speakers’ powerful talks provided, opened, in turn, a whole new chapter of questions and challenges.
We came back to Vienna with a boost of inspiration for our upcoming event, a bunch of questions about society, environment, future, present, and new friends. TEDxVilnius was, in brief, a feast of ideas worth spreading, and of people definitely worth meeting.
